I’m taking up belly dancing after being inspired by Back in Skinny Jeans, who I discovered on Twitter. She posted questions about belly dancing and it reminded me about my desire to take a belly dance class again. The classes were easy to find, I did a quick google search and several options for my area came up. I found a belly dancing class near me and just called and registered! It starts 11/25. Maybe this will be what finally gets my belly flat, ha.

you are a total inspiration to me. i commented a while back saying i’d set myself a challenge to lose weight but life “got in the way” and i didn’t complete it. i realised now that i’ve been trying to lose the same 20-25lbs on and off from ages 16-19. i’m 20 in january and know that i can’t spend my 20s battling the weight too; it’s too much of a physical and emotional roller-coaster. seeing you still heading towards your goal motivates me to stop with the excuses, change my entire lifestyle (not just diet and exercise habits for a few weeks) and actually stick it through even if it takes me longer than i want to become healthier. you’ve shown me that patience and perseverance is key. i really admire your spirit. you are amazing!
Thank you anon! You will do it also, you can do it! It does take a long time and that can be discouraging. Back in January I actually thought I’d be at my goal by now but I’m not. However I know if I just stick with what I’m doing it will happen.
