Do You Weigh Too Little?

I’m 5’5 and 120 lbs right now but I would like to be 110, but I would settle for 115. I’m not sure how to get there though.

My answer:

110 -115 may be too little for you, depending on your frame. generally weight is based on height and sex. for women, first 5ft 100 poubds, then 5 pounds for every inch after. So a good weight for a 5’5 woman is 125. I’m 5’6 so 130 is good for me, but I’m aiming for 125 as my base weight because I tend to gain 5-7 pounds of water during my period.

So at 120 you might be at the best weight for you, which would make it a huge struggle to go lower. Try reducing the salt in your diet as salt causes many people to retain a lot of water weight. If you are not overeating and exercising at least 3x a week for 30 minutes each time, try doing that. If you are and the scale is not moving, you are probably at your best weight at 120 and to try to go lower would trigger your eating disorder. You don’t ever want to undereat, because that lowers your metabolism, upsets the sugar balance in your blood, all sorts of yucky things. As long as you don’t overeat and you get enough exercise, your body will resolve to the weight it’s supposed to be; it’s optimal weight.
