So I missed the big Cleveland Rite-Aid Marathon. I initially planned to do the half-marathon, then realized shortly into training how woefully unprepared I was for that. Then I was going to do the 10k, figuring as I used to run that distance twice a week it would be no problem. Nope! a few training runs showed me just how out of shape I was for that. So I decided to do the 5k as that is only a little over 3 miles. I was all geared up to go…then overslept.

I’m thinking that subconsciously I didn’t really feel prepared for even a run that short. I don’t know. I just feel very disappointed in myself and like a total loser.

I am looking around for some other local runs I can do… I am sure there are a few coming up I can participate in.
